Larus Technologies’ AI and ML Solutions to Advance Search and Rescue Operations in Canada
Larus Technologies, in partnership with Kongsberg Geospatial and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association of Canada (CASARA), is excited to announce that Public Safety Canada has awarded the group a project, through the Search and Rescue New Initiatives Fund (SAR NIF), to support efforts to advance and aid the Search and Rescue (SAR) operations in Canadian remote communities. Larus will provide their expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), including deep learning as applied to Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, and will integrate two of its AI-based products, Total::Perception™ and Total::Vision within the Kongsberg TerraLens Geospatial SDK.
Total::Perception™, an advanced AI-based optimization and simulation engine, will investigate how to efficiently integrate and control multi-vehicle UAS in SAR operations and to study and investigate the effects regulations will have for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) SAR operations. Total::Vision, Larus’ AI-based machine vision solution, will enhance UAS SAR guidance by providing advanced vision and behavioural analytics from archival drone video.
